Initiator's Profile

Ann Awosika (née Arinze) was born in Nigeria and is the visionary founder and lead educator of the Peace Education Development Initiative (PEDI). With a deep-rooted passion for peacebuilding and social impact, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Lagos State University, Nigeria, and a Master’s Degree in Peace Studies and Diplomacy (MAPD) from Siam University in Bangkok, Thailand.
A seasoned global traveler, Ann has participated in numerous international conferences, trainings, and forums. Her commitment to peace education is evident in her extensive research, written works, and published articles, all of which reflect her dedication to fostering global understanding and social development.
Before transitioning fully into ministry and humanitarian service, Ann served as an administrator in the Oil and Gas industry. Now residing in the United States, her journey took a divine turn when she embraced her calling into prophetic and intercessory ministry. She is the founder of Gate Watchers Assembly, a faith-based community dedicated to daily scriptural prayer and outreach.
In pursuit of deeper theological knowledge and ministerial effectiveness, Ann earned additional theology certifications from Christ Restoration University in Maryland and a Master of Divinity in Professional Chaplaincy from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She is currently ordained under the Association of Global Evangelical Assembly and the Global Ministers and Church Alliance.
Ann’s ministry reaches critical frontline sectors—including the military, hospitals, and correctional institutions. She has completed units of Clinical Pastoral Education and is a graduate of the Chaplain Basic Officer Leaders Course. Today, she actively serves as a chaplain in mainstream ministry.
Through Team PEDI, Ann continues to lead with compassion and purpose, developing and adapting proven global strategies to empower vulnerable children, teenagers, and young adults—cultivating resilience, education, and hope for a brighter future.
